Road to Consulting: Designing High-Impact Student Pipelines for Management Consulting Careers
- Date: 1 Aug 2026 (Sat)
- Time: 10.15-11.45 am
- Venue: Loews Philadelphia Hotel: Second Floor Mezzanine: Regency C
- Session Id: 16848
How can business schools intentionally develop consulting-ready graduates rather than simply prepare students for consulting interviews?
Join us for this interactive Professional Development Workshop (PDW), where we introduce the Road to Consulting (RTC)-a transferable educational framework developed at Rutgers Business School to help institutions build sustainable consulting talent pipelines through the integration of Technical Mastery, Behavioral Intelligence, and Experiential Learning.
Participants will work in small teams using a structured Consulting Pipeline Canvas to assess their institution's consulting readiness, identify existing institutional assets, and develop a realistic pilot initiative that can be adapted to their own context. Whether your institution already has an established consulting program or is just beginning to explore one, you'll leave with practical tools, new ideas, and a roadmap for strengthening consulting education.
Facilitators/Speakers from Rutgers Business School...
Dr. Zeki Pagda, Founding RTC Program Director
Dr. Vinay Chandorkar, Current RTC Program Director
Dr. Jonathan Ng, Former Global Consulting manager
Who should attend?
Faculty members, Career Services professionals, program directors, consulting club advisors, university administrators, and anyone interested in experiential learning, consulting education, and university–industry partnerships.
We look forward to an engaging discussion and learning from your experiences as we explore how business schools can better prepare students for careers in management consulting.
