PDW submission for Anaheim 2016 with A QUESTION

  • 1.  PDW submission for Anaheim 2016 with A QUESTION

    Posted 12-30-2015 15:11
Hello Dr. Savall: I response to your kind prompt, we would like to submit our PDW proposal for your information and review, noting that I have already submitted the proposal and finalized its posting on the AOM website.

I understand the proposal itself cannot be modified, but your comments would be appreciated nevertheless.

A question for you: our workshop is highly interactive, and at last year's AOM meeting in Vancouver where we presented, we had some 60 people attending. The question is whether we should request 'registration' or 'no registration required'. Could you please explain the pros and cons of each?

Thank you kindly, with warm wishes for a peaceful and joyful holiday season.

    Dear Management Consulting Division Members:

As our Division Chair said last week, Christmas and holidays are always a great time to relax and... to work on papers and submissions for the next AOM conference! The submission deadline is Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 so you still have two weeks to complete or build insightful PDW proposals!

This year's theme, "Making Organizations Meaningful", gives us the opportunities to build insightful PDWs. Thus, you may consider PDW submissions that either address issues in the field of management consulting (consulting process, consulting outcomes, research in consulting industry, teaching management consulting...), or issues connected with the Annual Meeting theme. The MC Division is highly diverse and international, so we welcome and encourage innovative and integrative wide-reaching submissions for PDWs at the 2016 Annual Meeting (to be held in Anaheim, CA, USA).

Remember that your PDW Proposal must include: Workshop title, Full description of the workshop and activities, Time requirements of the workshop, Submitter (contact person) and presenter(s) information, including name, affiliation, address, phone, and e-mail for each person, Division or Interest Group sponsor solicited and why, Suggested Division or Interest Group co-sponsors (which are highly recommended given the limited time slots we have in the Academy's overall PDW program), How you intend to create a productive audience interaction and participation.

I wish you and your families a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you next August in Anaheim!

    Best regards,
